Ardscoil Rís has grown to a position where it is recognized as one of the leading boys second level schools in the country. While the quality of teaching and learning is paramount, other factors are hugely important in the shaping of the future of our students.
The foundation was set up in order to put in place a structure for identifying and funding the present and future needs of the school. Recently we spent €220,000 in upgrading the sports pitches at Ardscoil Rís. A new I.T. center was put in place. The staff room was relocated and upgraded to include a preparation and correction area. A prayer room has replaced the old staff room. A major school extension is planned for Ardscoil Rís. This will include a multi-media room, tiered demonstration room, music/drama area, first-aid room, physics lab and demonstration area, art/craft room, home economics and circulation/social area and canteen.
Funding for the Future
I would like to appeal to parents of all students to support the various fund-raising events held for the school. Also by availing of the various tax-breaks which have been put in place.
We now have a database of all students from 1963 to the present time and hope they will be supportive of our future needs. If you feel you could help in any way with the foundation please let me know through the school.
