A comprehensive career guidance and counselling programme is in operation. Areas given special attention include: study skills, examination technique, subject choice for Leaving Certificate, careers classes and seminars. Aptitude tests, interests and ability tests and individual interviews are carried out by the resident career guidance counsellors. Pupils are made aware of their strengths and weaknesses and given a broad understanding of the career options open to them.
