The Transition Year Market Day was held in the School Sports Hall on December 6th.
A total of 32 Mini-Companies participated in this years event. Over the last number of
months TY students have spent time developing their business ideas, undertaking market
research and raising finance for their business.

All participates got the opportunity to display and sell their products and services to the student body throughout the Market Day . A wide range of products and services were on offer, which included calendars, mirrors, ipod accessories, sports gear, beanie caps, posters, Christmas novelties, garden furniture and food stalls . Gillian Horan and Donnacha Hughes from Limerick City Enterprise Board paid a visit to the Market Day. A number of prizes were presented on the day under the categories of creativity, marketing, presentation and craftsmanship. All students, in their respective Mini-Companies, must now submit a Business Plan to the Limerick City Enterprise Board which will aid the Judges to decide which students will represent Ard Scoil Ris in the Limerick City School Enterprise Awards.
