The good work done against Thurles continued with another victory over Charleville. Darrach Honan had a hat-trick of goals by half time. Results: Ardscoil Rís 3-19 - Middleton C.B.S. 2-7

Despite the assumption that this game was a contest to decide second place in the group, Ardscoil Rís produced an exceptional display of hurling to progress as group winners. Ardscoil dominated from the 10 th minute onwards and gained momentum when Thomas O'Brien goaled in the 15 th minute. Ardscoil tagged on a number of points and led 1-11 to 0-5 at half time. The game was over as a contest early in the second half with further goals from Darrach Honan and Thomas O'Brien . Ardscoil played the remainder of the half with great heart and the fifteen-point margin ensured that they emerged as group winners.
