Parents Council
The A.G.M. of the Parents' Council was held on Tuesday 6th November 2007 . Nollaig O'Grady addressed a meeting of parents and gave a very informative and entertaining talk on `surviving teenagers' . This meeting was very well attended.

The Parents' Council were very active last term organising activities and planning for future events a number of which occurred this term. A fitness programme is taking place every Friday afternoon in the gym and they were also instrumental in organising a team building / bonding day for the incoming first years in September held in Killaloe. A study skills seminar was held in September for 1 st , 3 rd and 6 th year students.

A sub-committee has also been put in place to prepare for the Musical `Back to the 80's' which will take place in the Millennium Theatre , L.I.T. at the end of February. This is an event not to be missed, so pencil this date in your diaries! Auditions are taking place at the moment and rehearsals are due to take place in the near future. A number of events took place this term in order to raise funds for the staging of this production. The Parents' Council organised three days of bag packing in Dunnes Stores, Howleys Quay along with the Transition Year students. A very hard working sub-committee organised `A Taste of Christmas' as a further fund raiser for the musical, which took place on Wednesday 20th November 2007 in the Radisson Hotel. An enjoyable night was had by all.
