The Design Intention
Is to create a new Image / Look
for the School, create a central General Purpose / Dining area while
not increasing the overall length of the building as this would be
visually out of scale and also impede on the sports fields.
The Movement through the building is through 3 vertical
circulation cores which are passively controlled by an overlooking
office.
The development of a 2 storey element at the main
entrance can be visually dramatic and establish an individual
identity for the school.
Classrooms
Not to have specialist rooms all
together and to overlook landscaped courtyards where
possible
External Circulation
To
Differentiate between Pedestrian and Vehicular access to the
school and possible incorporate a bus drop off point.
Pupils congregation areas with
seating.
